MOT Testing

DVSA approved Class 4 test bay. We test cars and light vans the way the regulations say they should be tested, no shortcuts. If you fail on something small we can usually sort it the same day and free retest within 10 working days.

Brakes

Pads, discs, calipers, hoses, master cylinder. We measure pad thickness and disc wear on every car that comes in for any reason, and let you know when you have about 20 percent left. No surprise red lights on the dash.

Full Servicing

Interim, full or major service to manufacturer schedule. OE-spec oil, OE filters, plugs, and a stamp in the service book. Printed report of every check we did, with photos of anything that needs attention. We do not invent jobs.

What payment methods do you take?

Card, cash, Apple Pay and bank transfer. For larger jobs we can arrange interest-free instalments through Payment Assist, subject to status. Ask when you collect the keys.

Will a service with you affect my manufacturer warranty?

No. Under the Block Exemption Regulation we can service your vehicle to the manufacturer schedule using equivalent parts, and your warranty stays intact. We stamp the service book and provide a written report.

Do you offer a courtesy car?

Subject to availability, yes. Ask when you book and we will let you know what we have free for the day. If we cannot offer one, we can usually drop you home locally and collect you when the car is ready.

How much is an MOT?

The DVSA sets the maximum MOT fee at £54.85 for a Class 4 car. We charge £40 as standard. If your vehicle fails we offer a free retest within 10 working days, provided the repair is done with us.

Do you do air conditioning regas?

We do, on both standard R134a systems and the newer R1234yf gas used on cars from 2017 onwards. A regas takes around 45 minutes. We will also check for leaks before refilling rather than just topping up.

Are quotes binding?

Our written quote is the price you pay, provided the job is what we quoted for. If we open up a wheel and find something else needs doing we will stop, send you a photo and a revised quote, and only continue with your approval.
